BB&R CONSULTING, LLC
Therese Burch, Doro Bush Koch and Patricia Reilly Koch are the founders of The Achieving Optimal Health Conference, a conference dedicated to helping people reach optimal health by connecting them with the resources needed to learn how to nourish their bodies, minds and souls. Attendees learn the importance of healthier eating habits, developing mental focus, reducing stress, and taking responsibility of their preventative healthcare measures.
Twenty years ago, Therese, Doro and Patricia embarked on their own personal educational journeys, discovering the importance and also the ease with which we can all live physically and spiritually healthier lives. All active in their communities, all working mothers, they shared and applied this growing knowledge with each other, their families, their friends, and co-workers, laying the foundation for the work and formation of BB&R Wellness Consulting, LLC.
BB&R Wellness Consulting, a lifestyle and wellness advisory company, will educate, encourage, advise and motivate you to make simple diet and lifestyle changes that will give you a whole new perspective on living a healthier life. Our goal is to guide you to a life of healthier eating that will result in improved mental focus, increased energy, reduced stress, better sleep and more fulfilling relationships. In addition to The Achieving Optimal Health Conference, we offer one-on-one and family counseling, wellness seminars, and corporate programs.
Doro Bush Koch
Looking for the words to describe Doro Bush Koch? Unique and compassionate.
Imagine being the only woman in history to have both a father and brother as president. Imagine having to balance a very public life with your own private life of raising four children. Doro handled it with grace and with resilience. How did she do it? She turned to mindfulness. Staying present and grounded has made such an impact on Doro’s life that she now teaches mindfulness workshops and has even produced her own meditation CD, “Take This Moment to Breathe.” She lives by the idea that it is important to not only “work out,” but “work in.”
Doro’s grandmother and namesake, Dorothy Walker Bush, was one of the greatest influences in Doro’s life. She raised five children (one of whom became the 41st president of the United States), was a phenomenal athlete, and even dabbled in music. However, what Doro remembers most was the compassionate way her grandmother treated others.
Not surprisingly, Doro shares this genuine compassion. Her kindness gives her a special ability to connect individuals. She has used this gift as a New York Times best-selling author, connecting her readers to her father’s life in “My Father, My President: A Personal Account of the Life of George H.W. Bush.” As co-chair of the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation, she connects those suffering from a lack of education to those willing to help. Now, as a founding partner of “BB&R Wellness Consulting” she is utilizing her gift to connect those who want to improve their lives with the resources needed to make it happen.
Patricia Reilly Koch
Patricia Reilly Koch lives her life to the fullest. She emphasizes excitement over routine and incorporates curiosity and acceptance into her daily life. She is a firm believer that the mind and body are interconnected.
What do we mean by this? From an early age, Tricia was introduced to the world of meditation through her maternal grandmother, who was a regular visitor to ashrams in the 1950s. Since then, she has been fascinated with the world of healthy living.
As a holistic health coach, Tricia is well versed in what type of nutrition is “good” for the body. She is a student of ayurvedic living, is certified in Plant-Based Nutrition, and studied the healing powers of energy through reiki and yoga. In the past 25 years, she balanced her career in the business world with immersing herself into the study of what it means to nourish your mind and body. She attended yoga retreats, raw food seminars, juice cleanses, and hiking excursions to come to more fully understand the connection between the mind and the body.
As a mother of four children, Tricia recognizes the significance of passing on knowledge to others, particularly to those you love. It is this mindset that inspired her and her partners to create BB&R Wellness Consulting. With her dual background in education and business, she brings a valuable perspective to the BB&R team and is committed to providing others with the tools to achieve their optimal health.
Therese Burch is committed to the concept of bringing mind and body together in harmony to achieve greater health and a longer life. With more than 25-years of experience in high-level management positions in both public and private sector, she uses her skills to help communicate the BB&R Wellness Consulting message to the wider public. Ms. Burch served as Special Assistant to the President for Operations and Advance at the White House during both terms of President George W. Bush. Her ability to reach people and “get the job done” has made her a warrior for healthy living.
