Excitement was running high at the 34th annual Natural Products Expo West in sunny Anaheim, California last weekend and the BB&R team was there! The expo featured over 2,500 booths showcasing the latest and greatest in the natural products world. We saw every natural, organic and better-for-you product you can imagine. From grass-fed jerky, to kombucha in a multitude of flavors, to good-for-you chocolate and even German inspired quark! And it wasn’t just food on display – we saw a myriad of natural supplements, beauty products, pet merchandise, cleaning supplies and more…
The most exciting thing about Natural Products Expo West was that because of a shift in consumer behaviors, there is more demand for interesting, innovative, healthy products. We want to know what we are putting in our bodies and in our environments. The Natural Products Expo West was a reflection of the growing interest in taking responsibility for our personal health and well-being. We loved every minute of being there!
At the Achieving Optimal Health Conference, on October 24th, at Georgetown University, we will be showcasing some of the exhibitors we met at the Natural Products Expo West. And you will be receiving free samples from some of the hot new products in the natural health world.
So please mark your calendars for October 24, 2015 for the 4th Annual Achieving Optimal Health Conference!

To A Batter World!
Doro was so happy to see her roommate from boarding school Leigh Judson who was at the Expo with her nutritious and delicious “Batter World” pancake batter which currently sells at Whole Foods on the West Coast and will soon be nationwide!
Mindfulness Moment from Doro
I recently attended a dinner hosted by the American Association of People’s with Disabilities. The AAPD was celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the signing of the American Disability Act, the vitally important civil rights law that opened a world of new opportunities for those in the disability world. At the dinner the organizers showed a very moving video called “Love Has No Labels.” As I sat watching the video, it made me think of how important our mindfulness practice is and how it translates to everyday life. When we let go of judgement, our hearts open, and the love that is our true nature can flourish and grow. And what a better world it would be if our hearts were always open. This ad is a beautiful reflection of leading with love.
