It’s the same with chocolate, red wine, and eating meat. How about coconut oil, agave, and kombucha? It’s no surprise people are confused about what to eat. So where do you go from here?

At BB&R, we teach a concept called bio-individuality – a methodology that recognizes that no one diet works for everyone. Our students learn that every body is different. They explore different ways of eating in order to create a personalized approach that is appropriate for the individual.

Through our innovative program, you’ll learn a holistic perspective on subjects like bio-individuality, deconstructing cravings, and primary food.

We are too individualistic to eat the same exact food. Ever notice that men eat differently than women? Children, teens and grown-ups all have different preferences. People who work in an office eat differently than those who do physical labor. Our personal tastes and preferences, activity level, age, blood types, metabolic rates and genetic backgrounds influence what foods will and won’t nourish us.

So, when the experts say, “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” it’s too much of a generalization. That’s why fad diets don’t work in the long run. They are not based on the reality that we all have different dietary needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison.

Being healthy is really not that complicated. The body knows what to eat. It’s the brain that sometimes makes mistakes. Who isn’t tempted by a new diet that sounds great in theory, but after a week of eating that way, you start to feel weak, tired and frustrated. Instead, you can foster a deep relationship with your body in which it naturally tells you what it needs to function at its highest potential.

By learning to eat intuitively and trusting your body – not some book, fad diet, celebrity chef or research study – you’ll be able to select foods that best support your body, mind and lifestyle.
