How To Create a Body Hostile to the Growth of Cancer and Other Chronic Diseases, with Anita Capizzi
Experts explain the simple ways to make your body disease, cancer and inflammation resistant.
Chronic inflammation is the root cause of many serious illnesses – including heart disease, many cancers, and Alzheimer’s disease. It is easy to recognize inflammation on the surface of the body. We can “see” local redness, feel heat, swelling and pain. It is the keystone of the body’s healing response, bringing more nourishment and more immune activity to a site of injury or infection. But when inflammation persists or serves no purpose, it damages the body and causes illness. Stress, lack of exercise, genetic predisposition, and exposure to toxins (like secondhand tobacco smoke) can all contribute to chronic inflammation.
At the BB&R Winter Workshop on January 28th, we will explore the impact dietary choices have on controlling inflammation in the body as well. We will learn how specific foods influence the inflammatory process and the best strategy for containing it and reducing long-term disease risks. Doro will lead us in a discussion of mindfulness and how meditation helps reduce stress and inflammation in the body. Patricia will explore what dietary choices we can make to help create an environment in our bodies that are hostile to the growth of cancer and other chronic diseases. BB&R is pleased to have Anita Capizzi of Real Food, Real Health joining us to explore this very important topic.
