Flu Season Tips with Doro and Tricia

It is that time of year…and is feeling like flu and flu-like illnesses are skyrocketing more than ever right now. Here are some tips from Doro and Tricia on how to boost immunity and fight the flu!

What are some of the strategies we can use to prevent the cold, the flu, the respiratory illness sweeping the country right now?

  1.  WASH YOUR HANDS and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth until you do! 

  2. WATER! It’s no secret…drink your water. Aim for at least half of your body weight in ounces. From there, build up.

  3. Build your gut health - an unhealthy gut can cause inflammation and discomfort. Even more than that, it can make you more susceptible to the flu and other viruses. So, it is time to build the gut. Start with a probiotic and try adding in some fermented foods to your diet. Pickles, pickled cabbage, kimchi, yogurt!

  4. Believe it or not, HUG A FRIEND. It kind of makes sense. At BB&R, we tend to hug instead of handshake. But when you think about it, it actually lessens the chance that germs will be transferred onto your hands. And honestly, who can’t use extra hugs?
